Southpoint

3C CHRISTIANS

Committed, Connected and Contributing

At Southpoint, everything we do revolves around the 3Cs: Commitment, Connection, and Contributing.  We believe these are three key experiences that give you the optimal journey toward a growing relationship with Jesus.

3 RELATIONSHIPS, 3 ENVIRONMENTS & 3 CORE CLASSES

The church can’t make you grow spiritually—that responsibility belongs to you—but the church is here to help, encourage, teach, inspire and guide you by providing environments where people can be taught God’s Word and encouraged in their 3C’s with people who share life with them.

Every member of Southpoint should take the three basic courses which are designed to correspond to the 3C’s of our mission. Take “Introducing the Church” first. Free refreshments and child care (if pre-registered) are provided. Check the weekly Program or the upcoming events page for the next scheduled classes.

  • COMMITTED to Christ

Need to find peace with God? Spiritually restless? Done things you need forgiveness for? Struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups? Do you wonder, “What can I do to become a better person?” Need wisdom for making good decisions?

Relationship:  Closeness with God
Being committed is about loving God, so you want to spend time with Him in a daily lifestyle of prayer and reading His Word so that He can speak to you. Since everything we do is for the glory of God, worship is an every day experience. As we draw closer to God, we begin to see dramatic change in how we live and relate to others.

Environment:  Worship Services
We gather together each weekend for a unique and creative worship experience to draw close to God and express love to Him as we worship, learn His Word, pray, give, share in the Lord’s Supper, and encourage one another — and as we do, we’re changed. It reminds us that life isn’t all about “ME”. It’s bigger than that. This includes the children’s environments, and Shift environments for students.

Core Class:  Introducing the Church
This is the foundational 3-hour class for all prospective or new members to understand the mission, beliefs, values and structure of Southpoint, and how you can join in the greatest cause and movement in the world.  Offered once every 4-6 weeks.

  • CONNECTED to One Another

Are you trying to go-it-alone, or are you experiencing real community? Does anybody care about you? Are your kids making positive friendships?

Relationship:  Community with Believers
Being connected is about loving each other.

Environment:  C – Groups
We best experience biblical community and develop meaningful friendships through a variety of groups getting together in private and public spaces during the week. It becomes your “mini-church” where you know one another by name, and practice the “one anothers” of the New Testament (practice hospitality with one another, encourage one another, carry each other’s burdens, pray for one another, etc.)

Core Class:  Increasing Your Faith
Learn how to develop spiritually by becoming a more Committed and Connected Christian through worship, Bible study, prayer, and groups.

  • CONTRIBUTING to the World

Do you have a cause worth living for? Worth dying for? Does life have purpose? Want to meet needs and make a difference?

Relationship:  Impact with the World
Contributing is about loving the world. We impact our world as we invest in, and leverage our relationships for Christ, and contribute to the cause of Christ by using our unique spiritual gifts, talents, passions, and resources.

Environment:  Ministry Teams
Ministry is simply serving in the name of Jesus. Every member of God’s family ought to serve in some area where God can use you to build His Kingdom. He has both called you and equipped you to do this (1 Peter 4:10-11). We help you discover how you’re wired, offer dozens of opportunities to serve, and give you the on-the-job training.

Core Class:  Impacting the World
Discover how you can contribute to God’s work, using your talents, resources, and influence for Christ. You’ll be able to take an online spiritual gifts assessment, and see how to use them to serve God.
